"I called this electrician to come out and fix an outlet that I assumed had been fried when it sparked and stopped working after trying to plug something into it.
He told me to double check the breakers and try pressing the GFCI really hard to make sure those weren't the problem. Lo and behold, that GFCI switch was really hard to press and I was afraid I broke the switch honestly. That worked like a charm though and my outlet is back to working as normal now.
There aren't a lot of specialists that will tell you what to check before they come out for a house visit. After all, that could have been a really easy job for an electrician and he would have gotten paid for a service call anyway.
So basically, I know who I'll be calling for any electrical work I need done around here. It's hard to find honest repair people anymore and this guy's legit!"
